Separate the code from the conclusion
An EGR-related code is useful information for the workshop. Include its full description and the controller that recorded it. A short code list alone does not prove which part needs replacing.
What changed on the car?
Send previous valve or cooler repairs and tell us whether the engine is standard or modified. Include existing tuning and whether the symptom appeared before or after a particular change. Unknown details can be investigated as part of the agreed scope.
Describe when it feels wrong
Rough running, response changes and intermittent warnings belong in the enquiry. Explain when you have noticed them without deliberately reproducing a fault. The vehicle-specific checks are agreed from the symptoms and available history.
For a car bought with uncertain software, use the existing-remap checklist. For a modified build, include the hardware specification.
